Someone’s Knocking

Colors Newspaper is the newest Black-owned, print publication in Louisville, Kentucky. In their August 2020 issue, you can find a Black Horror Fiction written by yours truly.

In Someone’s Knocking, I highlight how predominately Black neighborhoods are impacted by the coronavirus. The elderly community has been devastated by the coronavirus and even though they need us now more than ever, we also need their wisdom and ability to stay calm even when we are clearly walking through the valley of the shadow of death. This short story was inspired by current events, Black spirituality, and my relationship with my Great Grandmother.
