Charcuterie and camaraderie.
Words and Wine.
Radicalism and Rhyme.

The DL is an exclusive writer's group for those who turn their pens into wands. As a member, any fee you pay gives you access to monthly meetings (refreshments included) to converse with fellow writers who understand how much of an honor, blessing, and burden it is to write. Here, you can air out your woes, successes, and goals for your literature. You can read and receive valuable feedback from writers throughout the city who love the craft as much as you do. Together, we can continue the literary tradition of Chicago's Black Renaissance pioneers.

Revolutionaries only. Interested? Let the host know with your email to be notified when more details become available.

My workshop focused on the art of journaling and how it contributes to becoming a better writer, and ultimately a better person. I was honored at the opportunity to engage with young writers (between the ages 9-18) and to offer the wisdom I have gathered along the way in the world of writing.
